VISIT TO OSOGBO IVLPAA CHAPTER
The President of the International Visitors Leadership Programme Allumni Association of Nigeria (IVLPAAN), Mr. Dayo Oketola, in company of the Treasurer, Mr. Taiwo Adewole and our gracious immediate past President, Madam Adetoun Tade, visited IVLPAAN alumni in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, as part of the ongoing familiarisation tour by the new executive.
The high point was the visit to Chief Jimoh Buraimah, the 81-year-old iconic Nigerian artist who pioneered bead painting in the late 60s and has continued producing new artists at home and abroad.
The visiting alumni were conducted around Chief Buraimah’s gallery and training institute, where iconic bead paintings and beautiful works of art are on display
Chief Buraimah, who is currently a District Head of a community in Osogbo, did his first IVLP in 1974.
Chief Buraimah did his second IVLP in 1994.
Mr. Osazee Isonarae, Mr. Babatunde Fanawopo, and Dr Femi Adefila, were elated to receive the executive members and expressed the willingness to collaborate with other members for more impactful projects.
