Empower to prosper graduation and send forth of the PAO
On September 14, 2023, 89 participants of the EMPOWER TO PROSPER skill acquisition training program graduated. Graduants were empowered with start-up kit to forge ahead.
The event also gave us the opportunity of a ceremonious farewell for the outgoing Public Affairs Officer, Joseph Kruzich whose passion and support has been of great value
The Consul General, Will Stevens, hosted the outgoing executive to a lunch hour meeting.
* The CG expressed his heartfelt commendation to the outgoing executive, which has consistently demonstrated exemplary dedication and success in fostering strong ties between our nations.
* He said the achievements of the IVLP Alumni Association have set a commendable standard, making it a leading force among all other U.S. Government exchange program Alumni Associations. IVLPAA commitment to promoting mutual understanding, collaboration, and continued engagement is truly commendable.
* The associotion leadership has played a pivotal role in facilitating impactful connections. The positive influence of the IVLP Alumni Association reflects not only on the individuals involved but also on the enduring relationship between the United States and Nigeria.
* He commended the outgoing executive’s tireless efforts in advancing the mission of the IVLP Alumni Association, saying their dedication has not only elevated the stature of the association but has also contributed significantly to the broader goals of international cooperation.
* CG Will Stevens added that the Consulate look forward to continued collaboration with the IVLP Alumni Association under the guidance of the new executive team. Together, we can build upon the foundation laid by their predecessors and further strengthen the bonds between our nations.
